Artificial Christmas Trees & Holiday Lights

January 2026

Artificial Christmas trees and holiday string lights are collected in January for recycling. Please plan on attending the following events to recycle your artificial Christmas trees and holiday string lights.


  • Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM 
  • Lott Industries (3350 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH)
  • Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM
  • Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity (1310 Conant Street, Maumee OH)


Greenhouse Trays & Containers

May & June 2026

Greenhouse trays and containers do not belong in your curbside recycling. Collection events will be in May and June of 2026 .

Boat Shrink Wrap

May & June 2026

Boat shrink wrap is one of the largest single-use plastic items used today. Recycle your boat wrap at one of our collection events this spring. Drop-off dates & locations to be announced.

BOAT SHRINK WRAP WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF YOU HAVE NOT:

  • Bundled boat shrink wrap properly (watch shrink wrap recycling video to learn about proper bundling)


  • Removed nylon straps & any other non-shrink wrap materials from the boat shrink wrap you are recycling



Pumpkin & Gourd Composting

November 2026

Starting Saturday, November 1st and ending Sunday, December 7th we are accepting pumpkins and gourds for composting. Drop-off locations:


  • The old Andersons building

Candy Wrapper Recycling

November 2026

Starting Tuesday, November 4th and ending Monday, December 1st we are collecting candy wrappers for recycling. 


Please bring your candy wrappers to any YMCA of Greater Toledo location.

Yard Sign Recycling
