Annual Special Recycling Collections

Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful is dedicated to ensuring that as much waste is diverted from our landfill as possible. Therefore, throughout the year we hold recycling/composting collections for the items listed below. Check out upcoming collections and any collection requirements below.

The Great Pumpkin Pitch

Instead of throwing your pumpkins and gourds in the trash this fall, compost them! We will be collecting pumpkins & gourds for composting starting November 1st until December 3rd.


Please compost pumpkins & gourds ONLY.

Candy Wrapper Recycling

Wrappers are the second most littered items in the United States. We are collecting candy wrappers, no sucker sticks please!


We'll be collecting candy wrappers for recycling starting October 31st until December 1st.


Recycle your candy wrappers at any YMCA of Greater Toledo location.

Yard Sign Recycling

After election season, we're collecting all yard signs for recycling.
