Ecosystem Series


In partnership with the Toledo Mindfulness Institute, we're bringing the Ecosystem Series  to life! This is a six part workshop series that connects mindful movement, environmental education, and community action across a wide range of topics.

Theme: Air

December 20th, 2025 - at Toledo Mindfulness Institute with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful 

Explore the interconnectedness of breath, body, and nature through mindful movement and reflection. This session invites participants to consider how environmental and public health are deeply intertwined.


Theme: Earth

January 17, 2026 – at Glass City Enrichment Center with Amy Stone, OSU Extension

This session will explore how soil connects all life and how returning nutrients to the earth through composting can support healthier ecosystems, communities, and minds.


Theme: Water

February 21, 2026 – at theNational Museum of the Great Lakes with Sara Guiher, Ohio Sea Grant

Dive into the role water plays in our health, environment, and community. Learn about local water systems, pollution prevention, and how to align personal mindfulness with water stewardship.


Theme: Spirit

March 21, 2026 – at Toledo Mindfulness Institute (Presenter TBD)

This session honors the cultural and spiritual relationships people have had with plants for generations. Learn about native plants used for food, medicine, and ceremony, and reflect on how ancestral wisdom can guide our modern relationship with the Earth.

April 18, 2026 – at Willys Park with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful

Enjoy gentle movement in the fresh spring air before joining a community litter cleanup. This session focuses on building awareness of our daily habits and how small actions can empower us to care for both ourselves and our surroundings.


Theme: Fire

May 16, 2026 – Location TBD with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful

Reconnect with the land through a grounding yoga flow followed by a community tree planting. Learn about the vital role trees play in our environment and how planting them is an act of resilience and hope.
