Would you like to become involved in our community and help improve our communities environmental wellbeing? Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year where you can do just that!
From litter pickups to recycling collections to educational tables to tree plantings, there is something for everyone. If you or your group are looking for ways to get involved & make a difference in our community, please join our volunteer email list to be notified of volunteer opportunities.
Upcoming Volunteer Events
Toledo Litter League
Batter up for a cleaner community! The 2026 Toledo Litter League officially hit the field on May 15th. Teams compete to pick up as much litter as they can in their respective leagues from May 15th to August 31st. At the end of the season, our top teams will celebrate their success at a Mud Hens game!
There’s still time to join! Get your team together to hit a homer for our Earth by registering. All supplies are provided. Teams compete in the following leagues:
- Community Group
- Nonprofit
- Business
- Family/Individual
June Litter Cleanup & Green Drinks
Join us for a litter cleanup and then hang out at Green Drinks as we connect with others passionate about sustainability and community.
Tuesday, June 16th, 2026
Litter cleanup from 4:00 to 5:00 PM
Green Drinks from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
Help us get a headcount by registering.
Lantern Fly Stop Fest and Community Cleanup
Along with Toledo City Council Member Nick Komives and the Junction Coalition, join us June 27th from 12:00 to 3:00 PM to learn about invasive spotted lantern flies, enjoy local food trucks, and help make Toledo healthier by cleaning up litter and stomping spotted lantern flies together. Meet at 419 Junction Avenue, Junction Ave, 43607.
