Become an engaged member of our community while improving the wellbeing of our environment! We are always seeking individuals or groups willing to volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities include litter cleanups, event recycling or composting, tree planting, educational tables and more. -Sign up for our monthly email list to be notified.

Upcoming Volunteer Events
4th of July Litter Cleanup
Keep our land and waterways pristine! Volunteer to help us cleanup litter from 4th of July celebrations (including firework debris) at the either of the following litter cleanups.
- Tuesday July 7th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Side Cut Metropark
- Wednesday July 8th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Glass City Metropark

Volunteer for Tree Pruning!
Planting trees helps grow a greener community - but proper care ensures they thrive for years to come. That's why we're partnering with the City of Toledo to prune and maintain young trees. Whether you're an experienced arborist or brand new to tree care, everyone is welcome. City of Toledo Forestry Staff will be in attendance to teach proper pruning and maintenance techniques.
- Wednesday July 29th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM
- Thursday August 20th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM
- Thursday September 24th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Toledo Litter League
Batter up for a cleaner community! The 2026 Toledo Litter League officially hit the field on May 15th. Teams compete to pick up as much litter as they can in their respective leagues from May 15th to August 31st. At the end of the season, our top teams will celebrate their success at a Mud Hens game!
There’s still time to join! Get your team together to hit a homer for our Earth by registering. All supplies are provided. Teams compete in the following leagues:

- Family/Individual
