Would you like to become involved in our community and help improve our communities environmental wellbeing? Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year where you can do just that!


From litter pickups to recycling collections to educational tables to tree plantings, there is something for everyone. If you or your group are looking for ways to get involved & make a difference in our community, please join our volunteer email list to be notified of volunteer opportunities.

Crane Creek Beach Cleanup


We’re partnering with Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge for a litter cleanup of Crane Creek Beach. Keep Ohio Beautiful's litter cleaning robot, BeBot, will also be in attendance!

Litter Cleanup & Green Drinks


Help Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and Partners for Clean Streams celebrate Earth Day a little early with a litter cleanup and Green Drinks networking event! On Tuesday April 21st at Toledo Spirits, attendees will meet to complete a litter cleanup in North Toledo from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. From 5:00 to 7:00 PM attendees can connect with environmental & community minded folks as they enjoy delicious food and beverages at Toledo Spirits. Non-alcoholic options are available.


Can’t stay the entire time? No problem! Attend when you can. If you are planning on coming out to the litter cleanup please register to help us get a head count.

Tuesday, April 21st. The litter cleanup is from 4:00 to 5:00 PM and Green Drinks is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Glass City Marathon



Join the Glass City Marathon Green Team! Volunteers will help keep the event sustainable by collecting items for reuse as well as recyclables and compostables.


April 24th, 25th, and 26th at the University of Toledo. Please reach out to engagement@ktlcb.org for more details.


Ramp It Up!


Join Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and help us pick up litter along highway on and off ramps! Our Ramp It Up cleanup is a one-day event focused just on these highly littered areas.


Saturday, May 2nd from 9AM to 11AM.


When registering, you will be able to select the ramp where you would like to volunteer. We will have two locations that are kid friendly. Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful will be providing all of litter cleanup supplies.


Lunch will be provided by Security Credit Union immediately following the litter cleanup. We hope you can join us!
